Mysteries and Martirios
 
Preceding the procession dances go Milagros y Misterios, short theatrical pieces, performed by groups of village children, represent known biblical passages and episodes of religious history of the town and the region.
Documented and in 1883, its existence is assumed much earlier. In the 1960s they were remade to be reported in Valencian, being responsible for this reissue Benet Segura de Lago, Joan-Fermí Teruel i Barberá, Martí Dominguez i Barberá y el canónigo Vicent Castell i Maiques.
 
 
 
 
They are the following five:
 
1) Mystery of Temptation or Adam and Eve.
 
"Test-la, Eva, who is the sweetest"
Original Benedict Segura de Lago, recounts the story of original sin: the devil tempted Eve and subsequent expulsion from the Garden of Eden and Adam "
Characters: Adam, Eve, the Dominion and an Angel.
 
2) Mystery of Abraham and Isaac.
 
"Do not raise your arm! Nothing to do"
Original Vicente Castell Maiques. Abraham followed God's command to sacrifice his proposed son Isaac. Proved his obedience an angel stops the arm when he raised the knife.
Characters: Abraham, his son Isaac and an angel
 
3)Martyrdom of Santa Barbara.
 
"No, Mr. Governor, I am only Christ and be"
Original Juan Fermin Teruel Barberà. The year 238, Barbara, daughter of Dioscorus, noble Nicomedia, was beheaded by are father for not giving up the faith of God.
Characters: Barbara, her father Dioscorus, the governor and the Angel Marciano.
 
4) Martyrdom of St. Bernard and the Little Sisters.
 
"The hand'll have loose if ye turn to alcora" "
Characters: Bernardo, the Zaida and Soraida sisters (Mary and Grace), the brother of them all and governor of Carlet, Almanzor, the executioner, two servants and the Angel.
 
5)Mystery of the Virgin of Health or "Chaplains".
 
"From Health !! Again !!"
Characters: The Cursi, Say and Frasquet, priests and altar boy.
